Again that’s SETTINGS > CELLULAR/MOBILE DATA > TURN OFF WIFI ASSIST
Mine was on and tbh I had no idea this was a thing.
Are you kidding me? Ugh!. My dad is the only one in the family with an iPhone (he’s not good with technology and Apple is more user-friendly) and suddenly his phone was yanking in 3-4g when before each of us barely managed to get close to 0.5g a month.
We had to tell him to stop playing games on his phone last week because we couldn’t figure out why it was going so nuts even when he was home!
Thank you for posting this! I went into his phone and changed it just now, and you’ve saved us from needing to bump up our data plan, which was already expensive enough tyvm.
My dad thanks you too because now he can play his games again :D
This doesn’t affect me because I have unlimited data, but I’m sure that’s not the case for everyone.
