can we talk about matthew daddario here for a second? and how fucking on point he was as alec in this scene? in the span of what’s probably less than two seconds, you see him go from anger to hurt, then to actively putting up his usual idgaf defenses, then dismissal with just a touch of disapproval - and through all of these you can tell he’s hurting. it was heartbreaking to watch for anyone who loves alec. it was complete validation of matthew daddario’s acting skills for anyone who has eyeballs.
